I bought this jumpsuit a couple of weeks ago. It was just staring at me in my closet waiting for the day the weather is nice enough to wear it. Luckily, today was that day!

Crop Top Lovin

It's starting to feel like Crop Top Weather!! Here are a few of my favs this year and how I would style them.

It gets pretty hot here in Texas so I wanted to find a top that makes me feel like I have on as little as possible. This spaghetti strap top goes perfectly with my tropical shorts. Just add some strappy sandals and light jewelry and you have the perfect summer outfit.

I love to pair a statement necklace over my tops. I've really been into gold lately so found these necklaces to go with my summer crops.

I'm usually in shorts and sandals all summer, but for the occasional date or if I just feel like dressing up a little more, I put together a crop top and a skirt. I love the open back of this top, and leopard goes with everything .. obviously :)

I love the color of this coral top. It matches perfectly with my black and white tribal shorts. I just paired this outfit with some causal sandals and simple jewelry.

This outfit screams SASHA :) This is definitely something you can find me in almost every day this summer. Cut-offs, fedora, and flip flops : this is absolutely the most perfect summer outfit.

You can't go through summer without a floral print. I kept the rest of the outfit pretty neutral so the focus is on the top. This skort from Forever21 is the best summer piece to make any outfit more interesting.

No summer wardrobe is complete without white skinny jeans. I love the way the blue top looks with the white jeans. I dressed this outfit up with some heels and dainty jewelry. Perfect for a summer night out.

Get Fit With Me || Green Smoothie

One thing I really wanted to try with my new journey is a green smoothie. I'm not a huge vegetable eater so I wanted to make my smoothies more fruit based. I came up with this super simple, super delicious smoothie and I've been drinking it every morning this week.


Ingredients:
Goya Coconut Water
Spinach/Kale mix
Mango
Pineapple
Pomegranate Seeds
Blueberries ( I added them at the end so they're not pictured )
Chia Seeds
Ice



If anyone knows of some good recipes, let me know! I'm always open for suggestions

Get Fit With Me || Spinach Tagliatelle

One thing I want to be clear about my new healthy journey is that I still want to eat the foods that I love, just in a healthier way. I don't like that a lot of people think being healthy has to be boring or only chicken and broccoli .. of maybe that's just me :)

This week's 'Recipe of the Week' is Spinach Tagliatelle

Spaghetti is probably one of my single most favorite meals ( my roommate could contest to that ), so I wanted to find a way to make this dish a bit more healthy.

The brand of spaghetti pasta is Central Market : Spinach Tagliatelle 
( It's a local brand here in Texas but I'm sure you can find spinach noodles at the store )

 I decided to make ground turkey instead of beef.



I made the spinach pasta just as I would regular spaghetti.

I topped my pasta with a little grated mozzarella cheese.
I had some cucumber/lemon infused water on the side.
Needless to say, the Spinach Tagliatelle was AMAZING!

Get Fit With Me !

Welcome to my new 'Get Fit With Me' series!



 
Sorry for the short video, but I wanted to get the basics of my journey out first. More videos will be more detailed, promise!

For my journey:
  • I will not weigh myself every week ( the scale makes me crazy ). Instead, I will focus on my measurements and losing inches. As the inches go down, so will the weight.
  • I am not going to go on any crazy diet. I want to focus on improving my eating habits while still enjoying food.
  •  Overall, I want to have fun with discovering new ways to be healthy .. fitness SHOULD be fun right?
